Capstone Magazine ("Capstone", "we", "our") is an independent publication based in Canada. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in accordance with the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
What we collect
We only collect personal information that you choose to share with us. When you write to us to request access to the founding subscriber list, you provide your email address, and may optionally share your name, employer, or role. We do not run accounts, do not collect payment information, and do not use third-party analytics that track individuals across the web.
How we use it
We use the information you share to send you the editions, briefings and updates you have asked to receive, and to respond to direct correspondence. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share it with third parties except where required to deliver our publication (for example, an email service provider acting on our behalf) or as required by law.
Email communications and consent (CASL)
We send commercial electronic messages only with your express or implied consent under CASL. Every message we send identifies Capstone Magazine as the sender, includes a working postal address, and offers a clear unsubscribe mechanism. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing info@capstonemagazine.ca, and we will action the request within ten business days.
Cookies
Our website uses only the strictly necessary cookies required to serve pages and remember basic preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add aggregate analytics in the future, we will update this policy and disclose what is measured.
Your rights under PIPEDA
You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, and to withdraw consent to its use. We will respond to verified requests within thirty days. If you believe we have mishandled your information, you may also file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
How to contact us
Privacy questions, access requests and complaints can be sent to info@capstonemagazine.ca. We aim to acknowledge correspondence within five business days.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers by email before they take effect.
